My Fall Capsule Wardrobe
I did it guys! After my Decluttering Your Closet post, I got serious about my clothes and did another purge. I thought about the style I wanted to have, the colours I liked the most, and the lifestyle I lived.
I was inspired by Unfancy’s capsule wardrobe strategies and followed her How to Build a Capsule Wardrobe principles linked here.
It was really fun being deliberate about my wardrobe and planning all of the bits and pieces. It’s also freeing to know that I wasn’t impulsively buying things just for the sake of shopping. I already owned pretty much everything, and only had to purchase a few things. I tried to stick with neutral tones and classic styles. I do have some leftover bits and bobs that I kept because I’m not ready to part with them, so they might show up from time to time in my real life, but below is my core Fall Capsule Wardrobe!
The 34 items that make up my Fall Capsule Wardrobe!

I’d love to hear if you are working on a fall capsule wardrobe yourself, let me know in the comments below!
Looks like a lot of great basic pieces! If I tried something like this in the fall, it would have a fair bit of plaid.
You should totally do it!! And then let us see, it’s so fun 🙂
The capsule wardrobe life is like blowing my mind! I too have kept some stuff (ok, quite a lot – but the pain of seperation!) but already (im two weeks in) its made over my life!! who knew it could be so easy to get dressed in the morning? I think the best thing is only keeping the things that you truly love! I may have had alot of things before but I really didn’t love most of them which has been a complete eye opener for me! Anyway im rambling – too much love for the capsule right now! Obviously three months down the line i may have gone stir crazy! haha anyway again, loving the blog and the post! Good luck!

Ooo yay, I just checked your blog, nice work with the capsule wardrobe! I think it’s awesome how it’s catching on. PS: I love your haircut, reminds me of Taylor Swifts, which I love.
Hi there! I’m also inspired to build a capsule wardrobe of approx 30 items for Fall. Just curious, though, how many other clothing items do you have “in storage” that you are not using in the capsule? Cheers, Kim
Hi Kim! Thanks for the comment! I have a few other shirts, a couple pairs of pants, they are just still items that I love and are in great shape still. I think over time it will become clearer when I see what I do end up wearing more than others. Any luck on your wardrobe?
Thanks for your reply! I’m looking forward to “getting down to business” with my wardrobe streamlining next week when my kids go back to school (school strike here in British Columbia has played havoc with my organizational/decluttering projects) 😉
This is awesome .. I love your style 😉
Thanks Michelle!
It is very nice, Your selection is going to be a big inspiration for mine. Well done!
